Dr. LePrevost is the Extension specialist in Agromedicine and the NCSU Agromedicine Campus Coordinator. Her office is on the NCSU campus, but Catherine’s research pulls her into rural and agricultural communities across North Carolina. Her work emphasizes farmworker health and the importance of community healthcare workers to the agricultural workforce. Dr. Ellington is a professional engineer and an associate professor at NC State University. Grant also serves as an Extension Specialist and researcher focused on improving the efficiency of machinery and other technology used to produce flue-cured tobacco. The NC Agromedicine Institute works with a wide variety of agricultural stakeholders to promote the health and well-being of farmers, fishermen and foresters across North Carolina. Dr. Marcom oversees the many different programs offered through the Institute. Robin emphasizes total farmer health by encouraging farmers to take care of their body and mind by offering solutions to help alleviate farm stress. Alyssa is an Extension specialist in agromedicine, farm safety, and health. She is stationed off-campus at ECU at the NC Agromedicine Institute. Alyssa works to train county agents, farmers, farmworkers and youth on relevant safety and health topics to help keep people safe while engaging in agriculture. As a farmer and a certified Nurse Practitioner, Jessica works with other agromedicine nurses and local healthcare providers to offer healthcare services to farmers across the state. Some of these services include respirator fit-testing, spirometry, basic health screenings and more.
